“Amazing” James Frank is an environmental education administrator for the East Bay Regional Park District on the edge of the San Francisco Bay. He developed and runs the award-winning Mobile Fish Exhibit program, a 1500 gallon aquarium on wheels. Most importantly, he serves as partner-in-crime to fellow FN West correspondent, Fish Guy Josh.
James ran a nature center on the upper Chesapeake Bay, taught biology, and was an aquarist in varying capacities up and down the East Coast. He proposed to his wife, Jessica, while the two dove the Atlantic Coral Reef tank at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Together they are raising their two boys in a park, on the beach (don’t be too jealous… at 3am it becomes a popular spot for drunken teens).
When he is not saving the world as “Ranger James,” he takes a less educational tack via his second nerdy passion, balloon art. Hence his secret identity – “The Amazing James.”
