Murray Cod (Maccullochella peelii)

 

Description:

Big, brute of a fish that lives in Australia. It is the largest freshwater fish found in Australia, growing up to 50 inches long and weighing well over 100 pounds. It has a big flatish head with a rounded snout. It has a large mouth and a round tail. It is uniformly olive-green with small brown spots, rounded fins, and a creamy white underside.

The fish is a long-lived predator that is aggressive, attacking any fish entering its territory.
